Consumer Information

On our homepage www.mautpilot.com the customer first has to select the desired toll (10-day vignette, 2-month vignette, one-year vignette) or section toll (Brenner, Arlberg, Tauern, Pyhrn, Karawanken).

Once the selection has been made, customers are directed to another page (Step 1/3) where they can now choose whether they want to buy a vignette for a passenger car or a motorbike. The customer is then asked to select the country of registration of the vehicle and to enter the vehicle registration number twice. Furthermore, the customer has to choose the start of the validity of the toll. It is not possible to order a toll retroactively. The earliest possible start of validity is therefore the day of the order. Customers can also select a section toll on this site. Here they can choose between a single trip, a return trip and an annual pass. Once the selection has been made, the total price including VAT is displayed to the customer.

By clicking on the "Checkout" button customers are taken to another page (Step 2/3). On this page they are asked to enter their email address twice. If they need an invoice made out in their name, they can optionally add their invoice data here. The order process cannot be continued without entering the email address twice. In addition, customers will find their shopping cart on the right-hand side, in which all previously selected items can be found, as well as the total amount incl. 20% VAT.

Please note: our prices include the ASFINAG toll charges (the ASFINAG toll charges can be viewed at https://www.asfinag.at/maut-vignette/vignette/ or https://www.asfinag.at/maut-vignette/streckenmaut/tarife/; the ASFINAG prices for the digital vignette, for example, are currently (2022): 10-days = € 9,90; 2 months = € 29,00; 1 year = € 96,40) plus a fee for our service as well as for the fast or immediate availability and the relevant statutory VAT. Our prices for the digital vignette are: 10 days = € 19,80; 2 months = € 38,40; 1 year = € 108,60. For the section tolls we charge a surcharge of between € 3,60 and € 7.40 per journey depending on the section.

After making the relevant entry customers can click on the "Next" button to choose on the next page between the payment methods indicated there and enter the relevant data. In addition, they will again find the shopping basket with the corresponding items on the right. If customers wish to purchase the selected items by clicking on the "Place binding order" button, they have to confirm that they have read and accepted the terms and conditions, the revocation policy, the privacy policy and the consumer information by placing a tick under the shopping basket.

On the last page (Step 3/3) we thank the customer for the order and the customer sees that we have successfully received the order.

If customers have selected the "Invoice" payment method, at their email address they will receive an order confirmation email with a link, which they have to confirm in order for the order to be processed by us. If this confirmation is not received, the order will not be processed, as we cannot guarantee whether the email address entered by the customer actually exists.

If customers have selected the payment method "PayPal", "Credit card" or "Klarna (IMMEDIATE transfer)", they will not receive an order confirmation email and don’t have to actively confirm the order. Immediate payment automatically confirms the order.

After confirmation, the customer receives an email with the purchased digital vignette or digital section toll.

If the customer has chosen a point in time as the start of validity of the digital vignette that is prior to the expiry of the 14-day revocation period beginning with the conclusion of the contract ( see the revocation policy in the terms and conditions), and has expressly requested that the provider should begin with the performance of the service before the expiry of the revocation period, compensation for the value of the service provided up to the time of revocation must be paid in the event of the right of revocation being exercised. In addition, the right of revocation expires with the complete performance of the service before the expiry of the revocation period if we have only started to perform the service after you have given your express consent to this and at the same time confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of revocation upon complete performance of the contract by us. This means that if you order a 10-day vignette with a validity start date no later than 3 days after the day of the order, the right of revocation expires with the expiry of the validity period of the 10-day vignette. In all other respects, we calculate the value refund on a pro rata basis (based on one month at 30 days and one year at 360 days; "banking method"), i.e. on the basis of our prices relating to the period of validity that has elapsed up to the time of revocation.
